The former Secretary to the Kano State Government, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, along with Muhammad Diggol, the state’s former Commissioner for Project Monitoring and Evaluation, recently paid a visit to the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, in Abuja.

Barau, a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), shared photos from the meeting on his official Facebook page, emphasizing the need for cooperation to drive progress.

“The development of our state and the country is always at the top of our agenda. We will continue to collaborate with other stakeholders to advance our state and nation,” he stated.

Reports suggest that Bichi, who ran against Barau in the 2023 Kano North senatorial election under the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP), is reportedly considering a switch to the APC alongside other political allies.

In recent months, several high-profile NNPP members have left the party to join the APC, adding weight to the ongoing defection rumours.
